I have just purchased Dazzle Video Creator Platinum HD after being advised to get it by a staff member at an Apple shop. When it was delivered it states on the pack it is only compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.

I don't have parallels on my mac and was hoping I could load dazzle without purchasing parallels and windows. I dont want to unpack Dazzle and try as I may not get a refund. If they suggested that you buy it, they might have information on how to use it with your Mac. Personally, I would consider returning it and look at using iMovie to get yourself started, and maybe look into something like Final Cut form Apple if you need 'more horsepower'.

Well, your MacBook Pro should have iMovie already installed, and that along with an analog to digital convertor is all you really need. If you get yourself a Digital8 camcorder (I have a Sony one) you can connect the 'iLink port' to your MacBook Pro with a FireWire cable, and then iMove can connect to the camera and even control the tape playback/pause options.
