App For Office For Mac Touch Bar
When Apple unveiled its 2016 MacBook Pro lineup late last year, it demoed Microsoft’s Office suite of applications taking advantage of the Touch Bar on the laptops. Now, a few months later since the stage demo, Microsoft has released updated versions of Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype, and PowerPoint to members of its Office Insider program with support for the Touch Bar. With Touch Bar support, MacBook Pro owners with Touch Bar can switch to the Focus mode in Word to hide the ribbon and other distractions, with the Touch Bar providing quick access to various text formatting options and font styles. In PowerPoint, the Touch Bar will show a graphical overview of all the slides in a presentation that can be rearranged easily.

In Excel, the Touch Bar will provide access to frequently used functions. Outlook users will be able to get a glimpse of their calendar appointments from the Touch Bar, while Skype users can easily end or mute calls from the Touch Bar. If you are not already a member of Microsoft’s ‘Office Insider’ program, you can join the program. Once you become a member, you will get to test beta releases of Microsoft’s Office Suite containing new features and goodies, though the suite’s stability might take a hit.
