Word For Mac Delete Section Break
I have to delete the Section Break Next Page first, but it controls to many formatting elements (the page has a different header and footer and page orientation), so deleting it results in losing all that formatting. When you delete a section break, or move an entire section to another part of the document, you get what seem to be very strange results. For instance, deleting.
I have a Mac Word 2008 document that is 300 pages long, no columns. It is a novel and I denoted a separate section visually with ~~~~ and this has been turned by Word into a zigzaging Section Break that I cannot remove. In fact, whenever I try to remove it, I end up delete desired text or CREATING MORE UNWANTED BREAKS. I have used layout to make it continuous. I see paragraph symbols. I switched to draft instead of print layout.
I created a page break and tried to delete it that way (big mistake- every deletion is creating MORE breaks). I simply have no clue as to why this glitch is happening. Is there a patch, is it just a Mac Word 2008 glitch? How can there be no way to remove a frigging section break? I find it incomprehensible and am on the verge of just cut and pasting everything into a new document excepting the sentences that bracket the section break, then retyping those. How crazy is that as a way to fix the problem?
