Fleetwood Mac has not played a full show as a full band since 2015 and while separate sanctions have been busy on the road – (Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham recently played the Rocksino – and Stevie Nicks was just recently in Youngstown) it will be great to see the whole band on stage once again. The British-American rock icons haven’t performed together since they wrapped up their On with the Show world tour in New Zealand in November 2015, with Stevie Nicks pursuing her solo career and Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham releasing a self-titled album last Friday (9th June) featuring guest contributions from John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. Earlier this year it was confirmed that Fleetwood Mac would co-headline The Classic West and The Classic East festivals in Los Angeles and New York with The Eagles in July. Confirming there will be more dates across the globe, Christine McVie told the BBC’s The One Show last night: 'We're going to start rehearsing in March, next year. The tour is around June. It will be global.'

Fleetwood Mac last toured the UK in the summer of 2015 playing 15 arena shows and headlining Isle of Wight Festival as part of their sprawling 120-date worldwide tour. As part of the promotion for the ‘Lindsey Buckingham / Christine McVie’ album, on Monday night the pair guest appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night where they reinterpreted the 1977 ‘Rumours’ track ‘Don’t Stop’ with classroom instruments. With Christine on a miniscule keyboard, Lindsey on a tiny guitar and host Jimmy on percussion they belted out ‘Don’t Stop’ with great aplomb while flanked by Jimmy’s in-house band The Roots and kids from SeriousFun – a Paul Newman founded charity that provides camps and programmes for seriously ill children.
